The Brown family had been starting to get very worried. It was said that she never arrived to school. Jeanne Brown (mother) was sensing that something very terrible had happen.she was thinking that maybe it was just a simple flat tire or any other normal car damage. Jeanne had decided to go look for. As Jeanne was on her way, from a distance she could see her daughters truck but wasnt actually able to recognize it, on the side of the road. Panicking she quickly went towards the scene. Desperatly looking for her daughter noticed that she wasnt inside the vehicle. Out in the pavement Alex brown was laying. Jeanne quickly called 911 and tolder her daughter that she was going to get through all this. In the hospital the doctor had told the brown family that she wasn't going to make it. As told by the doctor they almost lost her a few times. And so the brown family decided to let her go.
Struck by the loss of their daughter, Alex, the Brown family made a commitment that they were going to spread a message to all teenagers that texting and driving is dangerous and that they are putting in risk their lives. The brown family had gone to every high school in Texas educating highschool students. They would bring along with them their daughters pick up truck to show them and tell them the fatal story about their loss.
The Brown family has been saying that they do not want any other family to have to go through all this, parents losing a loved one or a younger sibling losing their big "sister". As for the "Remember Alex Foundation" you are able to sign a pledge saying that you are not going to text and drive. you are given a ring that says remeber alex reminding you that when u are going to text that it may also happen to you. it is another way to take precaution.
as reading this story i have had a wake up call not just for me but alot other teenagers. i have seen many people text and drive like if nothing. i would like to spread this story to all those people have not heard about Alex Brown. to also take precation. myself helping the Brown family spread this out. living on an island makes harder to hear these very small details that can change a persons life forever. when i get drivers license i will make the pledge make. To the brown family: Another life saved.
